I agree that it really depends upon the individual priest as to reception of
communion in a RC parish. Some 12 years ago I did my niece's wedding in a RC
parish in Montreal including concelebrating the wedding Mass and giving
communion. However, at my Mother-in-Law's funeral at another local parish I
was denied communion. We regularly attend a RC parish when we go home since
the local Anglican parish has gone totally liberal.

Based on reading the documents of Vatican (an old paperback copy I had) II I
think the Roman Catholic priest would, in almost all cases, give the
Eucharistic elements to an Orthodox priest, because they 1) have valid Baptism
and Chrismation in the eyes of Rome, and 2) hold to the Catholic faith, with
certain deficiencies but with no heresies. I do not think the opposite would
hold true. An Orthodox priest would probably hold the Roman to be heretical as
well as schismatic.

Question (and I ask this out of ignorance): would a Roman
Catholic priest give the Eucharist to, say, a Russian Orthodox priest?

I recently gave a short eulogy at my cousins funeral. The Officiating priest
(who was from India) would not serve me communion.

What Msgr. Mannion fails to mention is what is most important. Pope Leo
XIII, in his Apostolicae Curae in 1896, said solemnly that Anglican Orders are
"absolutely null and utterly void." That makes the Anglo-Catholic "Eucharist"
invalid, and also makes Anglican "Apostolic Succession" invalid.
Having just returned from a three-week sojourn in England I can attest
that in practice Anglo-Catholics and RCs tend to work very closely together,
including, in the areas I visited at least, allowing AC's to take communion in
RC parishes. Whether the reverse was true I cannot say.
