True. The Toon book, while orthodox, lacks a great deal of ++Cranmer's inherent or well honed gift for poetry. I would still commend it for purchase and review, and perhaps use in AMiA, but if we already have the 1662 or 1928 books in use there is no reason for a departure from them. I use a modern language 1662 approved for the REC for use at a monthly rest home service, as I mentioned, and I like it because it flows like the original when prayer through--fewer things to trip over in comparison to the Toon book.
