The REC has two schools, I think, one in Houston, Tex., and one in
Lynchburg, Va. Seeing as they've been through this before, you might ask
them, especially for advice on coralling board members and calling on
appropriate gifts from them.  The REC's website is http://recus.org.

In addtion, there are a number of good homeschool programs out there as well
as small high schools with a Thomistic or Jesuit viewpoint you could check
out.  I would certainly look at these b/c, in the Western Christendom, they
have been the educators par excellence.

Hello Brothers,


We (our church) are trying to create a working school board for our school
(besides the vestry of our church).  We want to be sure that all potential
members "get it" as far as a Christian philosophy of education.  I wonder if
any of you know of a book, articles, lectures, etc. that communicate these
things on a layman's level.  Maybe you have done something yourselves.
