DKD:  Sheesh, I doubt there are any of us who can "sufficiently understand".  
That's a sad story, but all too often repeated in churches by 
well-intentioned, but otherwise ignorant clergy.  Ironic really, because essentially they are 
espousing a gospel that exalts knowledge (i.e. gnosticism).
