Daniel+ Thanks for the responses. Much of what I know of the Eastern Church is from having spent the last 19 years with an accounting partner who was born and raised in the Serbian Orthodox Church. His insights into many of the traditions of the Eastern Church is very valuable. That and the fact that both of us like the liturgical music of the Orthodox Church. But it is interesting that you mention not confusing chrismation and confirmation. While the Eastern Church doesn't have an exact parallel to confirmation, there is a period of instruction that corresponds to our confirmation classes. Yet at the end of this period, there is no formal liturgical "rite" of initiation into the Church. It is simply seen as learning what it means to be a part of the Church.
