The signing with the Cross in Baptism is the closest thing in the BCP tradition. What I'm saying in the outline is that the East gives this post-baptismal anointing, aka Chrismation, much more importance (it's their "Confirmation"), while in the West it is more like a sacramental attached to the Baptismal office. Confirmation in the West traditionally takes place much later, though not originally so. Regards, Daniel
