Fr. Mark+ Thank you for forwarding the article. I doubt any of us can refute the logic. As someone in one of the Anglican publications observed, it is difficult to see how in the same geographic area you can have 2 provinces in communion with Canterbury but not in communion with one another. I suspect that unity in the World Wide Anglican Communion has always been more a hope than a reality. Anglicans are not alone in this. The RCC is hardly the monolith that those outside think it to be. Some of the Primates seem to think a housecleaning (throwing the Revisionist Yankees out), is the only way to restore peace in Eden. If ECUSA is punished in such a way, would that mean the WWACY map would show the U.S. as an unexplored territory? What would become of the "faithful remnant"? I know that y'all on the Ecumenical Committee have suffered the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune while doing your duty, but would you peer into your crystal ball and hazard a guess as to how the landscape will look in the near future? And by the way, please thank your gracious people for us. You all were great hosts for the Synod. And thank you for all of your efforts.
