Dan, I regret that you felt the need to issue a disclaimer but am more than a little perplexed as to why that was the case (I do appreciate the benefit of the doubt, though). The article in question was not written by me or any other RE, but by a highly-regarded ECUSA presbyter currently serving as Dean of the Cathedral Church of the Advent in Birmingham, Alabama (who was here in the area recently, regrettably I wasn't able to hear him as I was moving at the time). I make no bones about being a Paul Zahl fan (although I think he is wrong on women's ordination and a bit too dismissive of the REC and other "separated" Anglican groups. I forwarded the article because I found it thought-provoking and agreed with much, but certainly not all, of what he wrote. Personally, I resonate with the title as I am myself "Low-Church and Proud." Soli Deo Gloria! Drew The Rev. Charles A. Collins, Jr., S.B.R., M.Div. If the Church and the Christian faith did not stay itself upon the Word of God certain, as upon a sure and strong foundation, no man could know whether he had a right faith, and whether he were in the true Church of Christ, or in the synagogue of Satan."-- Archbishop Thomas Cranmer, Reformer and Martyr >From: Lexorandi2@... >Reply-To: faithandlife@... >To: faithandlife@... >Subject: Re: [FaithandLife] Low-Church and Proud >Date: Sun, 16 Nov 2003 19:55:00 EST > >My dear APA Brethren, > >This article by Zahl sent by Drew must seem like your worst nightmare with >respect to the merger talks with the REC.
