Dan+ Annual meetings do tend to make one a bit peevish. (How's that for an old word as wornout as poppycock?) However, the last 2 years I have left it in the hands of the warden to run the meeing at Good Shepherd while I have kept quiet except to answer questions and to give my brief report and hopes for next year. Our Warden, Phil Minton is an attorney and very well equipped mentally and personality-wise to make sure all sides are heard while keeping the meeting moving along. I know that system won't work everywhere, but from my view it is great to have someone carry part of the load. By letting him lead most meetings, I can listen more attentively to what our people are saying, and spend my emotional and mental capital where it appears to be most needed.
