I believe especially that the prayers spoken at the Holy Altar of our Lord at the Holy Eucharist are most powerful and accomplish more than we could ever imagine. To me, the gathering of the whole church before the mercy seat invokes the most powerful image of Christ seated at the right hand of God the Father, reigning over the universe, ever to place His enemies under His feet. But for Pat I especially want to ask our gracious Heavenly Father to touch her...Parkinsons is an awful disease and she is really struggling at this point in ttime. She has a marvelus husband, Tony, who lovingly and devotedly takes care of her...it moves me deeply to see them. But I know that the same God Who walked this earth and was often moved with compassion tot he point of tears and Who willingly met the needs of so many people with as many different problems is the God Whom we address. I have no problem in believeing that He can do what we would generally think to be impossible. Thank you for your prayers. Fr. Vanderbijl
