Brothers,
This news is now public, so feel free to share it. I have been offered the
position of Dean of Faculty at the Houston Graduate School of Theology and have
accepted. This will mean, of course, that we will not be moving from
Houston, but I do hope to continue my lecturing at Andrewes Hall, Phoenix and CTH for
the foreseeable future. Employment with HGST begins on July 1, 2004.
HGST was originally founded by the Evangelical Friends, but they are now
multi-denominational. They were looking for a "liturgical-type", preferably an
Episcopalian, to fill this position. They are the only ATS accredited
full-residential Protestant seminary in Houston, with around 200 students. For some
months now I have been working with the president on a new Statement of Faith
for the seminary that will be more creedal. Hopefully this will appear on their
website in short order.
Thank you for your prayers as I begin this new venture.
Blessings,
Daniel Dunlap
