Is the assumption you are making here that the historic churches have the
necessary wherewithal and that there is no need for help (in these
extraordinary times) to fill the vast spiritual void left from years of
slavery to Islam? 

Or should we rather take the approach St. Paul did:

"What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ
is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice..." 

I personally do rejoice to hear these things, though I share your strong
desire to see the historically faithful Church strengthened and growing.
