Brothers, 27 at Holy Nativity in Lima. To put that in context, we only had room for 6 more!! Our new building is generating interest and we hope to have nearly double (maybe more?) next year. Building up date. The Lord continues to bless our efforts and we give Him praise and glory!! We needed to clean out the building which we bought as the court had failed to do so. On investigation we were told it would cost around $3, 000 to get rid of the materials left behind by the court and the previous owner. A lot of the material was chemical (paint,etc). After several false leads and dubious offers I found an auctineer who was willing to try and sell the contents and anything else that was not nailed down. On 23 March, during a two day break in the weather, we had our sale. We grossed over $3, 800 and after paying all the expenses for the auctineer we were able to put $2, 600 in the building fund. Best of all the people removed all the items that day!! There was an amount of trash that still needed to be gotten rid of, but I managed to get a commercial dumpster(actually we needed two) for just the dump charge ($65). The building is now cleaned out, a beautiful, and large sign was built and donated by one family and a car dealership, the final plans have been completed, and submitted for approval, and I am meeting with contractors and the architect today at 1:30 PM so that they can bid on the work. Bids will be due in on 30 April the same date that we anticipate that approval will be granted. We expect if all goes well we should complete the work in early July. Of course we still have several hurdles to over come, one of which is the finances for the work, so I am preparing to do my tour of the banks once again.
