We thank Thee, O Lord, for all who have chosen poverty
or solitude for Thy sake, for men of prayer, for
saints in common life who have borne suffering for
noble ends, and for those who have endured pain with
patience and purity of life, in the strength of Him
Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the
Cross, even Jesus Christ our Lord.
