This is not a political comment, just a question.

If any of you who were as unspiritual as I, and watched that infernal machine, the TV and witnessed the speech of JOhn Edwards; did you get the impression Opie had grown up to be a politician?

Neither Virginia nor I had seen anything more than a glimpse of him on news summaries. This was our first chance to hear him speak.

After hearing a few lines, and watching his expressions, we looked at one another and said "Its Opie."
