I say the following with absolutely no disrespect to anyone on this list.  I
consider myself somewhat a novice in my understanding of Tradition.

IMHO this appears to be marinated with superstition and has no discernible
connection to anything I have ever read in Scripture.  I am asking, where do
we find biblical support for such notions?  Do any of you know of a
flowchart, a brochure, a book, a treatise somewhere, some outline of strong
connections beginning in the Scriptures and leading us to this?  Something
of that nature would be helpful so I might understand more clearly.
