> Dean Scott+ Like Fr DiBiasi-and others- I am somewhat taken aback by the
'NO WAY APA' website but I would be the last one to suggest it be shut
down.
Rather, I would ask, as Father has done, after all
these years and conferences, what IS the problem with the potential of
an APA/REC merger? And if there is one/many; can it/they be positively
resolved in the old idea of 'sobor' (ala the Russian Church where there
is no vote but a meeting of minds in the spirit of St Vincent of
Lerins.)
I suspect some are fearful of what the resulting product
will evolve into.
I suspect that others are fearful that their
'pet' project or ideological point or ecclesiastical hero(es) will be
left at the starting gate and still others wish it would all go away so
we could get on, as priests, with the administration of the Sacraments
(remembering what St Francis said) as the Catholic Church has always
understood, received and used them for the eternal good of those who we
have (at least for the moment) a responsibility for.

Peter, this thing must NOT be 'done in the proverbial
corner' else it is doomed to destruction before it is born.
Maybe NO WAY APA is part of that sometimes awkward process.
Let 1000 flowers bloom, let 1000 schools of thought contend
as someone once said. Thank you for your moderating
influence as Webmaster(?) in all this that all are heard.
God bless you for that! GDVW+ (I have to say that Bicknell
is about as good as we'll get on the 39 Articles but then
as they(The 39 Stripes as we AC's used to call them in
England) are not binding on anyone in America so perhaps
that road need not be followed too long or strenuously.)
Thanks
for you response. Yes, I surely agree with you. This
merger will
