The statement of Bishop Lancelot Andrews forms the basis of what might well be called classical anglicanism, but the 39 Articles helps clarify and resolve issues of controversies.  I think to enter a marriage without a clear understanding of the mindset of the other could be fraudulent an therefore an impediment to the marriage.
