Dear All

We have had many calls about hurricane relief, donations, etc. At the
present, the Anglican Communion Network (Bp. Duncan, et.al.) and the
Common Cause partners, APA, REC, AMIA are meeting in Fort Worth and
trying to establish a plan to assist the hurricane relief efforts. I
have spoken with the Director of the ACN in Pittsburgh and the present
plan, which they are working out, may well be as follows:

That relief aid be directed specifically to our parishes (Common Cause)
first to aid in recovery for parishes, members, etc. Once this is
accomplished then aid other general relief efforts.

This is TENTATIVE but may give your folks some suggestions.

I suggest the following:
Have parishioners donate and indicate the donation it for Hurricane
Relief. Tell them what the basic plan is. Should this plan not work out
properly then we can still direct that money to where it will do some
good but his way the donations will begin to flow in and be ready for
the incerdible need that is obviously there.

For your information---the Anglican Relief and Development Fund is
chartered specifically for the Global South only. They cannot violate
that charter (tax reasons) so they CANNOT accept funds for this domestic
emergency.

If you have any questions, please contact me directly at 561.265.1960 or
email me off list at stmary@....

Blessings,
Fr. Erich Zwingert, President, Standing Committee, DEUS
