In the parish in which I grew up, and in churches I have served, MP has been read in its entirety, then announcements, sermon, offering, closing prayers, blessing and hymn. That is my personal preference, only becuase that's what I have known all my life. Our new Vicar prefers to break it after the three collects, have the announcements, hymn, sermon, offering, then finish with the prayers on pages 18-20. We've only done it that way twice, so I'm still getting used to it. To me personally, it's a little disconcerting and breaks the flow of the service. But I can see no reason not to do MP that way.
