I am waiting for an answer from Alladin Knowledge system about Futurebasic
software for their USB dongles. They have a "converter" driver extension but
it doesn't work for my futurebasic application. 

I am confident that it can be worked out.

I don't know about other devices, but obviously the keyboard and mouse work
without any code changes.
