But we used FBII and the SANE converter against FB^3. (Long time ago. Example code is long gone.) With the same calcs, we were usually 1-3 times (I think) as fast. But you have to do a significant amount of calculating to even see the difference and our calcs were also pitting PPC math against SANE math running emulation. As you probably know, you can't use SANE math on a PPC or PPC math on a 68K machine. FB^3 does both and it knows when and where to do it.
