After I went back and read the Turovich book again and started experimenting, I came up with a solution that works very nicely. On the first try, too, which is quite shocking. Yes, I do want the replace the MacAdministrator installation application, it was having some problems quitting gracefully from our current system environment. The installation protocol itself is pretty simple; write a machine name and a serial number to an extension's resource and copy some auxilliary files to the preferences folder. I'd love to try it with FB^3, but i'm still trying to get my boss to foot the bill on that. :| Thanks to all those who had suggestions and comments! -jonathan2 On Sat, 2 Oct 1999 MoorePrint@... wrote: > Do you want to replace the installation application with an FB^3 application? > I haven't used my FB^3 yet but with program genrator, fb2 and the Turovich > book, I have been able to write to external resources.
