in FBII, the following line made the edit field active and selected all 
the text (highlighted it):

EDIT FIELD _givenNameFld

In FB^3 it activates the field and places the insertion cursor at the end 
of any text. This is am important difference.

Any suggestions as to how to make the statement behave like it did in 
FBII???? Am I doing something wrong???
