I think what you're looking for is a low end (cheap) sequencer, Jim.  I'm
not up on all of the latest programs available and have no knowledge of
PlayerPro, but there must be zillions of simple, outdated (maybe even pub
domain) sequencers around that you could get for a ... song.  You might
check the Internet.  If all else fails, you can send me one of your files
along with instructions on what to extract and I'll see whether I can (1)
read it into my Mac and (2) come up with a solution without actually doing
all of the work for you.

MIDI can be _very_ complex and jargon-wrapped, which would explain why your
program is daunting.  But croping a track is easy.  Generally, you need
only click and drag from the start point to the end point on the track you
want to edit and then tap [ DELETE ].  You should be able to do this
without reading a word.  Just get PlayerPro to display the audio track(s)
in one of the editors and go to work.  If it doesn't have an editor, then
I'd guess you bought the wrong thing...
