Okay Otto -- I assume that you know what I'm after. If not, I simply want a
way to make a sound at any frequency -- not just limited to notes.

I know that was one of the first things that we got our first 1k iron-core
memory micro-computers to do back in 1971, namely click the speaker to make
sounds and now 29 years later I want to do the same thing on my
super-computer Mac and I can't figure out how to do it.
