Back when you asked me to send you my program, you said I needn't bother to send the code, as you were not in "programming mode." Obviously you still haven't looked at the code, which is brief and straightforward--it loads the text file into a handle and allocates memory needed for the arrays, then sits in the HANDLEEVENTS loop until the user chooses the menu command. A second later it has looped through the entire Bible, as you've no doubt witnessed. I can understand if you find this incredible--I do, too--but anyone who cares to look at the code can plainly see that no processing is done until the menu item is chosen and the timer started.
