I know that some|many of our list members are professional
programmers, programming in various languages for a living.
I've started back at college for a Comp Sci degree; I'm 38 (in two days ugh!)
My question to all the programmers here is:
Do you have to have a B.Sc. to make a living as a programmer?
Amongst my other classes I'm taking a pre-calculus class. Then I'll
have four more years of advanced math to take in addition to all my
other prerequisites and majors classes.
While I 'like' math, I'm not sure I can take 4 years of calculus,
mostly since I just want to program not be a mathematician.
Then there is the fact that I won't finish a four year degree in four
years. My best estimates are about six. I'd get my degree by the
age of 44, not that should matter much but it does in a way, at least
to me.
