a volume reference number is like a directory "ID" number. Sure, maybe DOS
style might be easier in the begining, but you an ID is much quicker in the
long run.

Rick and the Staz site have lots of routines for this type of stuff.

Hehe, I don't know. I would guess the same way.

I heard it was "3", but that's compressed and encrypted, of course. :-)
