>PS. Jay> David is my boss. :-) > >Hmm. I conclude that either Jay has become a professional >programmer or David Xenakis has become a professional violinist. > >Jay, can you set us straight? > Okay. Apart from my music, I also spend about 10-15 hours a week producing graphics on the Mac for XRX Publications, of which David Xenakis is president and part owner. (I don't usually do programming, although I have written a couple of small apps for the company.) David's college work was in music (piano and composition), so he and I do play together occasionally, just for fun. In most aspects of music (not specifically violin), he is far more knowledgeable than I. David, however, claims he learned Adobe Illustrator (for which he has also been invited to write manuals) by watching me work. Straight enough? 0"0 =J= a y " PS. Yes, I've also corresponded with Lemke. When I got a digital camera for Christmas and couldn't figure out how to get the photos from the camera to my Mac, someone suggested I contact him. He responded immediately, telling me exactly what I needed--AND where to get the best price!
