do you click on program generator, or on a pg resource?
it may be that the creator code is erroneously taken
to be that of a grahic resource and thus graphic converter
takes over.

if it is a pg resource/file. choose it in os x, then call
info [cmd-i]. then in the popup menu choose 'open with'
[the name may be slightly different, i have a french system].
set the application to open your file as 'pg', and then
say that all files of this type should also.
