...sorry...was to quick:

doing a 'Get Info' on my PG-app in the Finder showed, that while I had
removed all '.' from PGs name, there was still a 'suffix' _hidden_ ('.b').

When selected to have this suffix shown and then deleting it solved the
problem so far, that I can now launch PG with the help of the 'Launch
PG'-file.

Btw: you can also use the 'PG Help'-file to launch PG, thereby eliminating
the trouble to create your own launch-file.
