i believe that there is an issue that memory [ram, either real, or as vm]
can only be 1 giga. even in classic under mac os x, i believe that the
system only ever gets a giga.

there used to be an issue that the os would fail if you had over a giga
of ram -- i remember reading that steve wozniak was the first to report
this 'bug' to apple.

or it could be to do with the sketches that you should send me and that
you haven't and subsequent bad karmic waves...
