OS 8.6 is Option-Command. I didn't even know that puppy was in there. Mine
is already off though.

You know, RAM usually is bad from the start. Checking it each time at
startup sure seems goofy in principle. Like doing an engine tuneup before
you drive your car every day.

Should only be done after a crash, or before system install one would think.
