I looked into the runtime and I could but was not very happy
with circumventing the runtime unless for something like this.
I've done it before to change behaviours I thought if I could get
around it this time then that is the route I would take.

I think I'll recondsider it.

All I can offer is that I've found you can't detect right-mouse clicks 
using the keyboard-only method. I had to switch to watching for the 
_cntxtMenuClick event. Once you detect it, isn't there a way to "push" it 
back onto the event queue?
