Ken:

I used an old ppc 7200 with IPNetRouter and an additional nic. It worked
well til I needed to use Timbuktu. I bought a Linksys router which needed no
configuration to work out of the box. Throughput increase and and latency
decrease were dramatic....

IMHO, Linksys and other good consumer router hardware is cheaper, faster and
less problematical than buying IPNetRouter. I'll bet the hardware option is
still more responsive than osx...
