I can vouch for Linksys equipment. When I had to connect my PCs and Mac to
my cable modem, I bought a Linksys 8-port switch and a cable/DSL router. I
set the computers and the router to use DHCP, plugged everything in, and I
was off to the races. All my machines, as well as those from friends that I
work on, connect to the Net with no problems, and my ISP never sees that I
sometimes have more than three machines online.
