Well, that's a mystery solved.

The version of Resedit I have doesn't even offer that option, and it's 
v2.1.3.

The version 2.1.3 with FB R7 does have that option, and I checked it, 
now resedit files are opening up fine.

That's some funky funky!

The bad one is the same E.T.O/MPW #15...v2.1.3

Stazzoid Hackinator must have done the wazoo da bing bling on the R7 
copy.
