I finally got around to incorporating the Subs Files.Incl as modified by
Ben Jamin and supplied to me by Bernie Wylde. Bernie was kind enough to
prepare a code example for my application as well. This is to report that
the modification works fine in FB^3 release 6 on Mac OS 8.6. I now get my
application's folder showing in the FILE$ dialogue instead of the root
volume of my hard drive.

The failure of FILE$ to work with SYSTEM(_appvol) seems to be a significant
FB^3 bug. I am wondering why Staz doesn't incorporate the Jamin's hack to
fix the bug?
