Bernie,

Looks like we have dual problems:

1.) We appear to be list-momless since Bill Michael's departure.

2.) When the Associate server database was restructured, certain
features disappeared including the very handy ability to search via
user name. Also since then, as you noticed, there appears to be a
glitch in the database that shows every post in the history of the
list if a poster incidentally happens to use a thread title that's
been used in the past. (When I first saw posts from Rick Brown and
David Blace and Mel Patrict I was momentarily elated since these guys
were great coders, only realize a moment later that this was an
anomaly due to the list restructuring.)

The only good thing on my end is that in all new posts, the constant
underscores are no longer stripped and copying and pasting code
directly off the web page has become much easier. Otherwise, the new
interface is a major step backwards.

I hadn't checked the e-mail version of the list since I usually read
posts directly from the Associate server site, but I am very sorry if
posts are not making it through the mail. For years I have collected
the lists and one day hoped to create a database of them and a nice
browser to view them.

I suggest you address questions to the Associate server site owner:

Perhaps Glen can help.
