Time for you to tackle this for the good of the whole.  :) I thank you 
in advance, because then I can use that USB I/O Warrior. :)

Though RP may have done what you need already (not sure if I remember 
that correctly) as far as knowing what's hooked up.

I've been meaning to get to that myself, but am busy with other things 
right now.
