Ken,

Great tutorial. I've removed the "for tedd" from your subject line, 
because this will be valuable to a great many of us.

As a complete novice, my biggest problem with the UNIX command line is 
that, unlike FB, I can't see an easy way to browse the manual to learn 
the syntax. I downloaded ManOpen, which at least allows me to see pages 
and navigate, but it's still cumbersome to browse.
