Hi Jan: Well... I guess that explains it -- Apple made an Apple Font entitled "Apple Symbols" for OS-X, which can only be used by Windoze applications which don't run on OS-X. I must be missing something here -- because no matter how many times I cut that rope, it's still too short. Thanks. tedd >Hi Tedd, > >In OS X there are 3 font locations: >/System/Library/Fonts >/Library/Fonts >/Users/CurrentUser/Library (or ~/Library) > >I did not find it in 10.2.8 >In 10.3.5 the 'Apple Symbols.ttf' was found in /Library/Fonts >The description says: Kind: Windows True Type Font > >Therefore I think it should not be used by non-Windows applications. > >Now you like to know about the different font types? >http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Carbon/Conceptual/ATS_Concepts/atsf >onts_concepts/chapter_2_section_3.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP30000109/TPXREF >104 >(mind the line breaks) > > >Greetings, >Jan > > >On 2004-11-03 22:26, "tedd" exposed in writing: > >> Hi gang: >> >> Considering that the list is pretty quite, I thought I would ask a >> non-FB related question. >> >> In OS-X, if one looks at the "Keyboard Viewer" or "Font Book", you >> can find a font who's name is "Apple Symbols" -- however, I can't >> find that font in anywhere else.
