QuickDraw, not QuickTime, is deprecated by Apple. 'Deprecate' means 
'advise the avoidance of', but this is merely Apple's way of saying 
that no engineering resources are being deployed on QD. For example, 
the new graphics hardware optimizations in Tiger apply only to 
CoreGraphics (Quartz) drawing.
QuickDraw, however, will continue to work exactly as now, for the 
foreseeable future. Don't panic.
