Not that I have seen.  I've been running my macs with OS X now for  
several years without using ANY virus protection. No problems at all.  
My internet connection is dial-up and that reduces my exposure too.

It is technically possible depending on how it is delivered (see  
Steve's post for example) but it is more difficult that windows. Even  
if I thought there were potential viruses ready to infect my machine,  
I'd use anything but Norton.
