Hello there,

these days I use the classic INKEY$ for my classic Boulder Dash clone.  
I wonder why the program slows down significantly when I hold down a  
key. The INKEY$ itself seems to be harmless when no key is pressed.  
The program slows down too if I press a key that is not in use and not  
being asked by the program itself. I would be happy about some help.  
Please make sample programs as short as possible!
