That next release makes lof(), loc() and rec() terabyte capable by returning a SInt64. However, the SInt64 data type is supported in FB5's current release. This allows coding with SInt64 now until the next release. In the example posted today, lof() would not work with a large file, but testing on smaller files is possible and, if the code is written well, should seamlessly transition to the larger files for the next release of FB5 Brian S
