thanks for the examples, but I fear that these fields are not classic 
edit fields but perhaps data browser fields or the like.

In my experience, classically going from edit field to edit field is 
by use of the Tab key. (Tab and Tab+Shift also work as expected -- 
back and forth -- with the Address Book fields.)

In essence, what I wanted to indicate is, that CRs are treated 
differently from other keys because they classically are meant to 
address the default button.
