I'm not aware of a problem with that configuration. Is there anyone  
else who can try dragging and dropping a nib file to a project window  
resource folder?

Here is what I'd suggest:

(1) Create a small demo project with nothing in it ( just basic pieces  
from doing "New Project" in the Editor )
(2) Put the problem nib in the project ( finder ) folder
(3) Zip up the folder containing the project and the nib
(4) Send the list a link to download the zipped file
