We remove a certain amount of it now but this will happen a lot more once we
swtich to LLVM.

There are some optimizations now but there will be more with LLVM.

As Brian has noted already this set of replies is puzzling.

Either the responding person isn't informed or isn't willing to tell 
the facts, or they are still in a decision process.

My impression is the latter. I don't think that they are going to 
write an RB-compiler (re #3) or they've tried and dropped the 
development which may explain the long delay.

OK there is still some time for switching to Cocoa but with respect 
to customers its time to act. I think RB is aware of this (not 
perfectly defined) time-line. We shall see...
